Oregon Leaves

ImageImageImageImageThese photos were taken almost two years ago as I left Oregon to move to Wichita, Kansas.  Trying to capture all I could of what can only be described as an amazing landscape, I collected leaves, twigs, rocks, photos, and memories in my pockets.  Last night my husband and I watched a movie called Old Joy by Kelly Reichart, which was set in Portland, Oregon, my place of birth and home for all of my adult life until now.  It was a beautiful movie about friendship, changes, and choices both internally, within relationships, and ecologically.  There were also beautiful pictures of the Northwest-Bagby Hotsprings specifically and some local Portland hotspots.  These photos often remind me of leaving and the never ending cycle of renewal that is our destiny in the natural realm.
