The stark reality of black and white captivates my eye. These photos were taken in the Mt. Hood National Forest in Oregon. At first glance these trees look barren, but a closer look shows the vast amount of life contained within. Together these trees stand atttesting to their might and resiliency, a defiant testament to their will in the face of what is beyond their control. They are beautiful to me.
